"La Vie En Rose" is a very well-known French song and it's a lovely tune for a Sunday afternoon. It means "life in pink." The first video is the original French version covered by a singer named Melody Gardot. The second video is the English version covered by a singer named Daniela Andrade. Vous écoutez et vous amusez...listen and enjoy.

Félicitations aux divisions 1-5! You have completed your first oral presentation (but not your last =P). Your final mark is a combination of your group mark (script, banner, team work), your individual oral mark (fluency, volume, clarity, pronounciation), and self/peer/teacher evaluation (participation, effort, and work contributed). Although you recieved an "A" for your group mark, it does not necessarily mean you will receive an "A" for your overall mark. On the other hand, if you recieve a "B" on your group mark, you can still get an "A" for your overall mark. If you have any questions about your mark, please feel free to speak to me. The marks will be handed out some time this week. Div. 4 - presentations begin on Wednesday (mercredi, le 14 janvier)
Div. 1, 2, 3, and 5 - presentations begin on Tuesday (mardi, le 13 janvier) Bonne chance! Please be prepared to present on the first day, even if you are one of the last groups!
Bonjour tout le monde, bienvenue 2015!
As many of you already know, we are starting a new round of points this term for those cupcakes (c'est très délicieux!) and, as discussed, all divisions will have "head start" points to even out the playing field. I am also considering rewarding the classes who improve on their previous points (that is, if they do not win the ultimate prize). For example, if your class was 3rd place and earned 350 points last round, but earned 400 points in 3rd place this round, I will be giving them a smaller prize. It's all about the improvement and not only about winning! Bonne chance tout le monde! Div. 1 - 60 Div. 2 - last round's winners Div. 3 - 60 + 25 (handed in all their weather report oral homework) Div. 4 - 60 Div. 5 - 50 + 25 (handed in all their weather report oral homework) Div. 6 - 40 Div. 7 - 20 Div. 8 - 60 Div. 9 - 30 |
