Bonjour tout le monde! This is the third year I am teaching Core French in the Surrey School District and my fourth year as a teacher. I have taught Core French at M.B. Sanford, Hillcrest, and now Bear Creek and William Watson.
French has always been one of my favourite subjects, having taken Advanced French in high school from Grades 9-12. I also took several European history courses in university and was always fascinated with French history. In 2013, I finally decided to visit France and will return again soon for a longer stay. It was truly a magical experience for my inner history nerd and for my stomach! The food was, of course, delicious. Unfortunately, I have very few pictures from my European adventure because my camera was stolen in Amsterdam! This past summer, I visited Québec for the first time to improve my French. The photo above is of Old Montréal (Vieux-Montréal) and Old Port (Vieux-Port). (For more photos, check out my instagram account!) Through the UBC Institut de Français, I took classes and practiced my French with other teachers. After 3 weeks, I felt more confident to speak and teach in Core French and I am definitely looking forward to this school year! À bientôt! |
